The Thrifty Peacock

I am based in Corsham, Wiltshire, after over 20 years in east London. I have always loved clothes. Whatever road life has taken me down I am continually brought back to the love of dressing up, fancy and unusual dresses, costume and fashion. In recent years I have discovered how amazing it is to share my finds with others which means I can now source clothes for everyone and not just for me. It is one of my favourite things to do and to then have someone find something perfect for them on my stall - it is such a joy. I now dabble in jewellery making, ​I have recently expanded into menswear and am focussing on plus size clothing after feedback received over the past few years at my stall. I have been a stallholder at Roman Road Artisan's market in London, Frome Market, Frome Craft and Flea, Fanny's Meadow, Southwark Festival and more. This is my newest project so year on year I am building and improving and am so excited about where TTP will take me. I love the idea of saving clothing from landfill, giving fantastic items a new lease of life while also having a lot of fun.

I have worked at, performed at and organised festivals for over twenty years including Glastonbury, WOMAD, Fanny's Meadow, Deer Shed, End Of  The Road Festival, No Direction Home, Larmer Tree Festival and many more. I have worked in every aspect of festivals from litter picking, fundraising, artist liaison, programming, site managing, catering and even performing  And so these worlds collide really neatly bringing all the things I love under one canvas roof.
